The renovation of this 250 sqm open plan space, set in North Milan, is a unique and special project hosting the headquarters of our architectural firm and 3D visualization studio.
We kept all the main features of this light-filled warehouse and enriched its industrial feel, studying a new functional layout. The result is an exciting and cosy space where our team enjoy the perfect environment throughout the different moments of the day.
The double high ceiling is one of the characteristic elements of this space, flooded with natural light through the original large framed metal windows. The open plan was ideal for our purpose as we wanted to define four main functional areas, visually connecting a working and relaxation area, kitchen and meeting room.
It is a continuous flow, moving through the various parts of the studio, reflecting how we work as a team in constant interaction and collaboration.
The working area is where our team of architects and 3D artists develop all the projects. We designed large desks and minimalist furniture, all customized and functional for the creative team. The kitchen and lounge areas are the heart of the studio, ideal spaces to enjoy a break between meetings.
The industrial air conditioning system and blue gas pipes become a visual trademark of the project, spanning the entire ceiling.
We opted for a minimalist colour palette of teal, black and red for the decorations, adding a splash of green on the white walls.
We kept the original deep red resin floor, a common material in industrial warehouses in the 70s, creating a strong impact on the entire space.
For the furnishing, we designed customized pieces selecting materials such as wood, iron and glass, connecting the different parts of the studio.
