Sarnico lakefront area consists in Piazza XX Settembre, Piazza Besenzoni and Piazza Umberto I. All of them are located in the heart of the city center and today they have not a specific identity and they are used almost exclusively as a public parking, excluding the possibility to be used as a social and aggregative area. The project aims to restore his functional structure and his aesthetic and symbolic value for this important piece of city. The ultimate goal of our project is to return the space of Piazza XX Settembre, Piazza Besenzoni and Piazza Umberto I to the citizenship through a design that is the natural meeting point between the historical fabric and Sarnico lakefront.
