The apartment IM39, is located in Milan, in the university district of Bovisa. The challenge of this intervention was to transform a residential flat into a student house. We designed every space to make the house welcoming and different from the classic student house. Through the use of colour, we have distinguished the various functional areas. The blue wall of the living room is one of the key colours used in the apartment.
In designing the flat, we gave great relevance to the bedroom area, as this is usually the part of the house where students spend most of the day. Each room was equipped with all the necessary facilities, including a desk, television, wardrobe and shoe rack, to make the spaces as cosy as possible.
The living area is the most relevant element of the project. We designed a vast common area combining the kitchen and living room in a continuous, harmonious and multifunctional space. It is the ideal space where students can share most of their time studying, entertaining and relaxing.
